What We Do
OBLF USA believes in the transformative power of education.
Through our partner, OBLF India, we work to bridge learning gaps across government schools.
Designed for children aged 5-16 from low-income families in rural and peri-urban government schools, our ELEVATE initiative has enhanced learning outcomes and bridged educational disparities of 7500+ children with comprehensive interactive and activity-based English literacy initiative.
Together, we are working for a future where children learn, families thrive and there is equitable access and opportunity for all.
Through our partner, OBLF India, the KICKSTART program addresses a critical gap in rural communities. Many schools across rural and peri-urban areas in Karnataka struggle to find enough qualified teachers to serve their students.
KICKSTART responds to this need by training semi-educated women from within these communities to become community teachers.
Women in the KICKSTART program are generally 12th grade graduates in their early thirties, many of whom married young and are ready to rejoin the workforce. Through comprehensive training in English proficiency and pedagogy, KICKSTART has empowered these women with the skills and confidence to teach in local government schools, improving education access in rural areas.
Together, we are working for a future where women lead, families thrive and every community has the resources it needs to grow.
